Six Beliefs & Six Truths
KNOW WHERE I STAND BEFORE WE WORK TOGETHER.
BELIEFS
Design doesn’t need to be “Trendy” — It needs to be strategic AF.
Design should be timeless and not boring — The worst thing you can be is ignored.
Perfect is the enemy of good, and clients will always want things fast — therefore it will never be perfect OR good.
I know you’re scared of trying something new — I’m not.
Maximalism in design is a trend. Like puffy jackets and reebok pumps —chunky fonts and funky gradients will not last.
Being organized is cool. If you don’t have your shit together now you will when we are done — and it will come at a price.
TRUTHS
I design for organizations that take a stand about issues I care about and I will not compromise on the basis of morals.
Yes, I can make the logo bigger… but I don’t want to.
Feedback is a two-way street at all times — I’ll look at it both ways and you should too.
You may not like the rules of design, but everyone who is successful follows them.
My job isn’t to make you feel good — it’s to make you look good.
Zoom meetings are never fun, but bringing your dogs as an icebreaker is.
